Cherry Tequila Sour

Switching up my love for margaritas this week and giving you a fun twist on a traditional whiskey sour. Substituting tequila for the whiskey is honestly the best. The cherries give a slight fruity flavor while pairing perfectly with the sour lemon. This cocktail is so smooth and so pretty! It’s a must make if you’re looking for a new way to drink your favorite spirit.

Makes 2

INGREDIENTS:

8 cherries, pitted

6oz tequila blanco

6oz lemon juice

3oz simple syrup

1 pasteurized egg white (Vegan option - 1 Tbsp aquafaba)

Directions:

  1. Add cherries to a cocktail shaker. Muddle the cherries to extract the juices.

  2. Add the tequila, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to the shaker.

  3. Shake vigoursly to combine - about 20-30 seconds.

  4. Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake for another 20 seconds.

  5. Pour evenly into 2 glasses and enjoy.
