Bolognese Pizza

Bolognese has been all over social media lately which, of course, made me crave a big bowl of pasta. However, I made so much sauce I had enough for 3 different meals. So, what do with all the extra sauce. Pizza of course! This pizza is on another level! It is so hearty and flavorful and pretty much puts any and every other meat pizza to shame. Yes, it’s a bit of time upfront to make the bolognese but I can’t push this one enough… MAKE IT! Bonus - my bolognese recipe makes plenty of sauce so you can freeze it and have pasta or more pizza another night.

Add the remaining ingredients and stir.

Bring to a boil and then lower to a simmer and cover. Cook for 2-3 hours until reduced down. If it gets too thick, add a little more water to thin to preference.

To make the pizza:

Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees.

*If using a pizza stone, pre-heat stone for 1 hour before cooking pizza. If using a baking sheet, pre-heat for 15 minutes before cooking the pizza
