Negroni Spritz
Happy Cocktail Thursday! This weeks cocktail is a Negroni with a twist. A champagne twist to be exact. I am not the biggest fan of Negronis, mainly because I am not a fan of gin. However, when they are made right I do enjoy one now and then. I do love champagne, Prosecco, spumanti, basically anything with a fizz. And I have found that if you add fizz to pretty much any cocktail it will just make it that much better. Negronis contain Campari which is in the bitters family so this cocktail is just that, bitter. Combined with the sweetness of the vermouth and the effervescence of the Prosecco it is the perfect combination. Serve it as an aperitif alongside my Caprese Bruschetta and before my Cacio e Pepe for an amazing meal.
