Frosé

It’s the middle of summer and no vacation in sight for many of us. So… let’s add another cocktail into our staycation drink rotation. Truth is, I actually don’t like frosé that much. The idea sounds great but it tends to be a headache in a glass. That being said, it just felt like the right drink to have so I decided I needed to make a less sweet but equally drinkable version. I love this recipe because you can really cater it to your sweetness preference so it works for everyone.

Ingredients:

1 bottle of Rosé

1/2 cup of strawberry jam

1/2 cup water

To make:

Pour Rosé into an ice cube tray and freeze for at least 4-5 hours.

Add jam and water to a bowl and stir until a syrup consistency.

Strain syrup mixture to remove any seeds and fruit pieces.

Pour syrup mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze for at least 4-5 hours.

Once frozen, place rosé ice cubes into a blender along with half the syrup cubes.

Blend until puréed. Taste for preference. I found using about 3/4 of the syrup cubes was the best for my sweetness preference but some may prefer more or less sweet so start with 1/2 the syrup.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
