Chili Simple Syrup

This simple syrup adds spice and smokiness to any cocktail. Keep in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups water

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

2 jalapeños, roughly chopped

1 poblano pepper, roughly chopped

2 dried adobo peppers

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan.

  2. Bring to a low boil to dissolve sugar and then reduce liquids to a simmer.

  3. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

  5. Strain liquid into an airtight jar and store in the refrigerator.
