Strawberry Americano

Campari is an Italian liqueur considered an apéritif and has a sweet bitter flavor. It’s a staple in my bar - there are endless ways to use it and it gives such a great depth of flavor. Two of my favorites though are the very simple and easy Americano and Campari spritz so I decided to combine the 2 to make the best summertime cocktail. Light, yet full of flavor and perfect for a hot day!

Recipe

Makes 2

INGREDIENTS:

1 tsp strawberry jam

1/2 cup fresh strawberries

4 oz Campari

Squeeze of 1 lemon wedge

Prosecco

Directions:

1. Add strawberry jam and strawberries to a large glass

2. Muddle the berries to extract the flavors and juices

3. Add Campari and lemon juice to the glass and stir to combine.

4. Strain mixture over ice, dividing into 2 glasses

5. Top with Prosecco.
